The Animation Career Pathway offered at Warren High School provides students with the skills they need to pursue a career in an animation studio directly out of high school, or place them ahead of their peers at an animation school or college.
Student must enjoy the following... 1.) Drawing 2.) Working With Others 3.) Problem-Solving 4.) Working With Computers Ever since animated films first started appearing in theaters in the early 20th century, animators have been entertaining us by creating increasingly complex moving pictures. They are part storytellers, part drafters, and part filmmakers. Animators can work in a variety of fields including film, television, video games, and the internet. Putting together an animated feature is a complicated process that typically involves a large team of artists. This class is fun and entertaining for students who want to learn how to give flat, two-dimensional drawings the illusion of life.
Animation Skills acquired permit students to transition directly into entry-level animation positions in studios throughout the L.A. area or to enter college or trade schools with an advanced level of skill and understanding of curriculum.

Classes held at Warren High School Campus.
The Animation Career Pathway will help students sharpen their basic drawing skills and move quickly into traditional animation.
Traditional animation requires drawings done with pencils and a lightbox. Students will learn about the principles of animation and the subject matter will expand to include: pencil-testing, script writing, story boarding and sound for voice overs and eventually the use of computers to achieve full animation!
